Carolyn Dorfman

Carolyn Dorfman brings over two decades of experience guiding young athletes toward their full potential both on and off the court. She spent eight years working in the University of Tennessee Athletic Department including 2 years as an Assistant Athletic Director gaining invaluable insight into collegiate athletics, before dedicating 20 years to running Camp Walt Whitman as Director, shaping the lives of countless campers with her leadership, energy, and commitment to growth.

Carolyn was a collegiate basketball player at Dalhousie University, where she was named First Team All-Canadian and led the nation in scoring and rebounding., Carolyn understands firsthand the dedication, skill, and resilience required to compete at the next level. She is a proud mother of three and an active community volunteer, balancing family life with her passion for mentorship.

Carolyn’s goal with Prep2Recruit is to guide high school athletes and their families through the college recruiting journey with insight, direction, and a strategic plan for success. Drawing on her extensive experience in athletics, coaching, and youth development, she provides personalized guidance to help each athlete find the right college fit academically, athletically, and personally.

Kathleen Barter

Kathleen Barter brings a wealth of experience and passion for lacrosse and youth athletics to Prep2Recruit. A four-year Division I lacrosse player at Loyola University (MD) under Hall of Fame coach Diane Geppi-Aikens, Kathleen competed at the highest level, reaching the NCAA semifinals in 1996, the championship game in 1997, and the quarterfinals in 1998 and 1999. She was named a 1999 IWLCA All-American and the CAA Defensive Player of the Year.

Following her collegiate career, Kathleen spent two years coaching at UNC alongside Hall of Fame coach Jenny Levy, gaining invaluable experience mentoring young athletes at the collegiate level. She also has 13 years of experience coaching and administering community youth lacrosse programs, including leadership roles as past LMYL Co-President and travel and recreation commissioner. Kathleen has also served as the assistant varsity girls lacrosse coach at Mamaroneck High School.

A proud mother of four, Kathleen is deeply committed to helping high school athletes and their families navigate the recruiting process with confidence, strategy, and support. Her extensive playing, coaching, and administrative experience gives her a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed at the next level, on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.
